About

My work starts at the sketchbook where I cobble together different aspects of my life into abstract forms. We'll commonly see pieces of the ocean, animal shapes, and little crudeness here and there. With my Shadowbox series I intend to tell more literal stories but generally my work lives in a dream state.

Once I understand the subject I immediately know what aspects of my craft would elevate the presentation. After scanning the completed sketch I edit the image in a variety of ways in order to communicate different functions to my printers. The resulting pieces will vary, but I tend to create quiet, delicate work that exists in isolation. They also embody a space between a drawing and a sculpture. I encourage everyone who has the chance to feel the surface of my work, as the dimensional ink captures the texture of my pencil-strokes.

The possibilities are endless and I'm eagerly searching for a chance to push my machines to their limits. My long-term goal is to have a studio where I can produce a series of masterworks selfishly, while also sharing this technology with other artists and the world.
